Union of AIDS patients holds ‘Brain Ring’ quiz with prisoners
The Kirovohrad branch of the All-Ukrainian Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWH) has initiated a ‘Brain Ring’ competition for the first time, with the participation of a team of prisoners from a local colony.
This was reported to an UNIAN correspondent by the manager of the PLWH branch, Volodymyr Bocharov-Tuz.
According to him, joint sports events and art campaigns have been held repeatedly in the penitentiary system, but intellectual games are an innovation. The topic of the competition concerned the problem of AIDS and disease prevention.
The rivals of the convict team were their teachers, squad leaders, and professional ‘Brain Ring’ players – champions of Ukraine.
“This campaign was dedicated to the Day of Solidarity with People Living with HIV/AIDS. The prisoners’ team consisted of six young men, half of whom have this diagnosis,” noted V. Bocharov-Tuz.
